Cemeteries

 

Regarding Our Cemeteries…

Much work has been done since 2002 to restore our cemeteries: washing and repairing stones, computerizing our records, repairs to stone walls, removal of brush and adding nice signs for identification. If you know of someone who is definitely buried in one of the cemeteries and is not listed here, please contact the Dixfield Town Office at 562-8151 so that we may update our files and website. Our veterans, also, have been identified, but there are probably some that we don’t have marked. Please let us know…treasurer@dixfield.org

Dunn Cemetery Ludden Lane: located off the Canton Point Road, over the Canton town line, on the left-hand side of the road. This road will bring you back into Dixfield.
Eddy Cemetery Science Hill Road: located at the top of this road in East Dixfield; accessible only with a 4-wheeler; small family cemetery
Eustis Cemetery Hall Hill Road: located at the end of Main Street, on the left-hand side, just before going up Hall Hill
Greenwood Cemetery Weld and Pine Streets: located on Weld Street (the Old Section); the new section is in back of the old, on Pine Street
Holman Cemetery Dixfield Common Road: located near the old Peter Holman homestead on the Common Road. Not accessible by road; must cross over Holman’s field to reach it.
Science Hill Cemetery Route 2, East Dixfield: located on the right-hand side of the road on Science Hill Road. Barely reachable by truck, half-way up the road.
Severy Hill Cemetery Rollins Ridge Road, Severy Hill: located off Route 17 in East Dixfield; top of Severy Hill on Rollins Ridge Road; follow until the end; will be on left-hand side.
